1. LAND ROVER STOLEN
A green Land Rover Defender 90, VRN R222 RMP, was stolen from a property near Glympton, Oxfordshire last night (18 Feb) at about 8pm. It was later spotted in Aylesbury. A blue/silver Vauxhall Zafira was seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time VRN Y543 K##
2. SUCCESS IN FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL HARE COURSING
A 44-year-old man has been fined and had equipment seized after pleading guilty to poaching. Colwin Price of Greenway Road, Cardiff pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 29 January to the offence of night time trespass with the intention of pursuing game contrary to section1a Game Act 1828. He was fined £155 and had all of the items on him at the time of the offence seized by officers and then forfeited. This included lamping equipment and battery packs. On 1 December 2015 at 11.30pm at Stallpitts Farm, Shrivenham, officers from a neighbouring force observed Price walking from a field owned by a farmer down a track towards a vehicle. He was carrying a dead rabbit and was accompanied by a Lurcher-type dog.
